1972 Grumman AA5 Traveler -- Shares For Sale

You have an opportunity to buy into a 4 person partnership for a beautiful and very clean 1972 Grumman American AA5 aircraft.  I am moving to Bend OR and will relocate the airplane from San Diego Gillespie Field (SEE) to Bend sometime in the Dec 2010 through February 2011 timeframe, and depending on the availability of a hangar in Bend.  I would like to locate three partners along with myself to own this airplane to share the hangar and insurance expenses.  A corporation would be formed to limit liability.  I am instrument rated and preference would be given to other instrumented rated pilots, and specifically a CFII and/or an A&P/pilot, although non-instrument rated pilots would be considered.  I was previously in a 4-person partnership for four years that worked very well.  I am a CPA and bring to the partnership my background to handle all of the administrative details.  I have owned aircraft for the last 19 years and previously owned two Bonanzas and a Grumman Yankee prior to purchasing the Traveler in Sep 2009, and have always done 'owner-assisted' annuals which greatly minimizes the cost.  I believe that based on the 1100 remaining engine hours available, that an assessment of $25 per flying hour is achievable.  The fixed monthly and annual costs would be divided equally and would be due in addition to the flying hour assessment.  Your cost to buy 1/4th interest would be $9,500.
